Cargills Sarubima is a foundation dedicated to farming community in Sri Lanka.

Their objective is the welfare of the farming community. Cargills is Sri Lanka's largest fruit, vegetable and milk collection company, and through Cargills, agricultural products are purchased directly from farmers throughout the country. Accordingly, Cargills works with over 23,000 small landowners. This number increases every year, and the total purchases over the past four years amount to Rs. 58 billion.

Through Cargills Sarubima, farmers receive a stable market, fair prices, and technical knowledge as well as financial services. The Sarubima project helps to increase yields and reduce production costs through agricultural modernization and exposure to modern agricultural practices.

It's not only the farming community that benefits through Sarubima. Money is also allocated from Cargills' profits to support their families. Scholarships are provided to students through the Sarubima fund. This year, over Rs. 50 million has been allocated for scholarships for more than 1,300 students. Since the beginning of the Cargills Sarubima program, educational scholarships have been provided to hundreds of children for many years.

The Cargills Sarubima community development project carries out many activities such as school welfare work and providing clean drinking water. This year, over Rs. 60 million has been allocated for community development projects.

Under this, 29/08/2025 this scholarship award was held to uplift the education of today's children. A large number of distinguished guests participated in this occasion, including Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Mr. D.P. Wickramasinghe, Director of the Department of Agriculture Professor Tushara Wickramarachchi, and Vice President of Cargills Group Mr. Ranjith Page.
