A high level delegation from the World Bank led by Faris Haddad-Servos, Director of the World Bank for Sri Lanka, Nepal and Maldives met with the Minister of Agriculture Mahindananda Aluthgamage at the Ministry of Agriculture recently.
The current World Bank projects related to the Ministry of Agriculture and their operations were discussed at this meeting. Both sides emphasized that they would work closely with the Ministry to further strengthen the work and expedite the work of on ongoing projects.
The other members of the World Bank team who participated in this discussion were Mrs. Chiyo Kanda, World Bank Manager for Sri Lanka, Andrew Goodland, the Chief Agricultural Specialist and Seenithambi Manoharan, Senior Rural Development Specialist.
