The Hector Kobbekaduwa Agrarian Research and Training Institute (HARTI) has recommended the establishment of Agrarian-Wildlife Conflict Management Unit under the Ministry of Agriculture due to the fact that wild animal population in the country has increased unsustainably compared to the existing forest density.
