Three storied Administrative and Research Complex, Batalagoda was officially declared open by Hon. Duminda Dissanayake, Minister of Agriculture.
It was conducted at a cost of Rs. 260 mn.
Addressing the gathering the Minister appreciated the role of the research staff whose experience and knowledge is very important towards the development of Agriculture in Sri Lanka. “Sharing of the same with the farmer community is more important than that. Therefore this Government has taken initiatives to reestablish the agriculture extension service” the Minister stated.
State Minister of Agriculture, Hon. Wasantha Aluvihare, Provincial Minister of Agriculture, Central Province, and Hon. Sumal Thisera were also present on this occasion.
