Galoya Plantation Company manufactures all organic fertilizerrequirement for their suger cane cultivation with a production of 7500 MT per year.

Mega organic fertilizer manufacturing project of Galoya Plantation Company, Ampara was inspected (on 29.07.2021) by MahindanandaAluthgamage, Minister of Agriculture Agriculture. State Minister ShasheendraRajapaksa and Wildlife State Minister WimalaweeraDissanayake joined this occation. They observed the manner in which all organic fertilizer requirement for suger cane cultivation are manufacturing by utilizing 100% of factory waste of the Company. The annual production is 7500 MT, of which a considerable amount are supplied to farmers at a reasonable price of Rs.275 per 25kg bag. The company is producing liquid organic fertilizer and bio fertilizer even at present the Company is engaged in cultivating suger cane successfully with the use of organic fertilizer. Chief Operational Officer Mr. M.M.D.SurathPerera states that the company is going to increase the production to contribute its share towards national production.

 

Mega Organic fertilizer production programmeof plantation Company, Galoya is a good example against massive propaganda campaign that cultivation cannot be done without chemical fertilizer and chemical liquid fertilizer. At this inspection tour it was revealed that Galoya Plantation Company has responded positively towards successful under taking of organic farming.
